Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld are an important resource that you need to be able to start crafting mid-to high-level items and buildings in the game. While many of the rarer items in Palworld, such as Flame Organs, can be found by killing easy Pals, Ancient Civilization Parts are a little more difficult to obtain.

Kill Dungeon Bosses for Ancient Civilization Parts

The only way to get Ancient Civilization Parts is by defeating powerful enemies. The first of these enemies are dungeon boss fights, and not only will defeating them reward you with Ancient Civilization Parts, but they’re also a great way to get XP and level up too.

Palworld boss fight

There are several dungeon boss fights in Palworld, and each one will reward you with Ancient Civilization Parts when you defeat them. Although it’s worth noting that you will only get Ancient Civilization Parts the first time you defeat a boss, you cannot repeat this process for more Ancient Civilization Parts.

Defeat Alpha Pals

Alpha Pals are stronger Pals that are marked all over the map, and unlike defeating dungeon bosses in Palworld, this method can be repeated and farmed.

Before you head out and take on an Alpha Pal, make sure to check its level by hovering over it on the map. Alpha Pals are much stronger than your average Pal; therefore, you might want to look for some that are slightly lower level than you to make sure you even the odds of winning and earning some Ancient Civilization Parts.

As it stands, these are currently the only two methods of farming Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld, but as the game is updated and new ways are added, we will make sure to keep you up-to-date on the best Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld.

More Ways to Get Ancient Civilization Parts

Since this guide was originally published, Palworld has added more ways to obtain Ancient Civilization Parts. Alpha Pals remain one of the most reliable sources, but you can also get Ancient Civilization Parts from Lucky Pals, rare treasure chests, and certain Expeditions.

Lucky Pals are particularly worth taking on whenever you come across one. Like Alpha Pals, defeating a Lucky Pal can reward you with Ancient Civilization Parts. However, because Lucky Pals appear randomly, they aren’t as reliable for farming as Alpha Pals.

Rare chests can also contain Ancient Civilization Parts, giving you another reason to keep exploring the Palpagos Islands. Certain Expeditions can reward you with them too, providing another source as you progress further into the game.

Best Way to Farm Ancient Civilization Parts

If you specifically need to farm Ancient Civilization Parts, Alpha Pals remain one of the most straightforward options.

Once you have unlocked a good number of Fast Travel points, you can move between several Alpha Pal locations rather than relying on a single enemy. Target Alphas that you can defeat comfortably and work through them while collecting their other drops at the same time.

Newer players don’t need to rush into fighting some of Palworld’s strongest Alpha Pals either. Lower-level Alphas such as Chillet can provide an easier starting point while still giving you access to Ancient Civilization Parts.

Capturing an Alpha Pal can also reward you with Ancient Civilization Parts, so killing them isn’t your only option if you’d rather add the Pal to your collection.

Ancient Civilization Parts vs Ancient Civilization Cores

Ancient Civilization Parts shouldn’t be confused with Ancient Civilization Cores. Although their names are similar, they’re separate crafting materials with different uses and methods of obtaining them.

Ancient Civilization Parts are much more widely available and can be collected from sources including Alpha Pals, Lucky Pals, Expeditions, and rare chests.

Ancient Civilization Cores are a higher-tier material obtained through tougher activities, including raid bosses. They can also be found through some later-game activities and Expeditions. If a crafting recipe specifically requires Ancient Civilization Cores, you won’t be able to substitute Ancient Civilization Parts.

What Are Ancient Civilization Parts Used For?

Ancient Civilization Parts are used in numerous crafting recipes as you progress through Palworld. This includes items and structures unlocked through Ancient Technology, as well as higher-rarity items created from Schematics.

Later in the game, you’ll continue finding recipes that need Ancient Civilization Parts, so it’s worth keeping hold of any extras you collect. Building up a stockpile means you won’t have to immediately head back out to hunt Alpha Pals every time you unlock something new.

They can also be used as part of the Pal Labor Research system, giving Ancient Civilization Parts additional value beyond simply crafting equipment.

Now that you know how to farm Ancient Civilization Parts, you can build more advanced items and buildings, such as the Essence Condenser, which allows you to merge multiple Pals together to make a higher-rank Pal.
