With the release of Pokemon Go Gen 5 just around the corner, we thought we would take a look at the Pokemon Go Unova stone, similar to the Sinnoh Stone.
The difference between the Pokemon Go Sinnoh stone and Unova stone is that the Unova stone is only be used to evolve Gen 5 Pokémon.
You can find out more about the new Pokémon coming to gen 5 in our Pokémon Go gen 5 post here.
Much of the information about the Unova stone has come from leaks. It’s hard to confirm it’s authenticity, however, the source does seem reliable.
The Unova stone should work in the same way as the Sinnoh stone and be a required item for evolving certain Pokémon.
There is no concrete information on how to obtain the stones at the moment. However, this is likely to be similar to getting Sinnoh stones.
- Finishing weekly research tasks
- Winning PVP trainer battles
We may of course find other ways, such as receiving them as part of gifts from friends or bonus streaks.
For now we will just need to wait to find out for sure.
At the moment we don’t know what Pokémon will evolve with the use of a Unova stone. However, as soon as we do, we will make sure to add them to this post.
Have we missed anything? Do you have information we haven’t added on here? Let us know in the comments or by contacting us.
Pokémon Go gen 5 comes out on the 16th September. When it is released, expect it to come out in waves, not all in one go.
