Obsidian’s latest title ‘The Outer Worlds’ has now sold over 2 million copies, which in itself is rather impressive. Undoubtedly, this would have increased with the release of The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch.
The developers in charge of the port to Switch are based in Singapore, with offices across China and, as such, have had to close the offices due to the recent outbreaks of Coronavirus.
Virtuos, the team behind the port, are reportedly all safe and well but have closed the offices as a precaution.

Those of you with a poor internet connection will be pleased to know that the release will now also come with a physical cartridge. The plan had been to release The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch as a digital download only.
Personally, I’m happy to wait just to own that physical copy. As much as digital downloads seem to be the future, I do like to showcase my collection at home!
If you own an Xbox you can get The Outer Worlds free from the Xbox game pass to try it before playing it on the go with your Switch.
