Resident Evil 8: aka Resident Evil Village Preview

Resident Evil 8 or Resident Evil Village is the next upcoming Resident Evil game coming to the series next year on the next generation of consoles.

With the last Resident Evil game we saw a new bread of horror, moving away from the generic zombies and into hillbilly territory with the Baker family.

Now in a surprising twist for the game series, it would seem we have moved on to an entirely new mythical creature, the werewolf.

Although werewolf’s have never been in the games before, they have actually been in the comics, but I can imagine fighting them in the game will be comparable to fighting Nemesis, I can’t see them going down easily.

The new approach to the Resident Evil games is a welcomed fresh approach to keep the series going, after all, how many zombies games can they release before it starts getting stale. I for one am super excited to see a werewolf cantered release to the RE series.

So far there is not a huge amount of information out about the creatures of Resident Evil Village, other than they work in a pack, as wolves would in the wild, but they can also wield weapons, making them a much more dangerous threat.

We do know that the game is a direct follow up to the previous title Resident Evil 7 and will continue with the story of Ethan and his wife Mia, but as you can see in the trailer, Mia is killed by Chris Redfield, I would assume at the beginning, I assume this due to the spoiler, I can’t see her being in the game long, if they have given us this information, or it’s misleading and it’s not actually Mia?
