We all know the famous “zombie franchise” Resident Evil, however it was a shock to play through the latest installment, Resident Evil 7 and find out that it wasn’t really a zombie game, but more of a Manson family crazy murderess family game.
Ethan finds himself in the heart of the Bayou, looking for his ex-wife who had emailed him after being missing for 3 years, saying “Come get me” As he travels to find her, he finds more than he had bargained for, the Baker family. A group of “sick” deranged hillbillies who has wife captive, or do they!
Resident Evil is famous for shooting zombies, and other biochemically engineered horrors that await you, however the Baker family are seemingly normal, to start with.
Baker Family Dinner:
After “Inviting” you around for dinner it doesn’t take long for you to realise they are not a normal family, they are actually insane.
The Baker family are the only threat you have to worry about in Resident Evil 7, whilst in other titles you may have had to deal with hundreds of zombies, in number 7 the Baker family are all that matters, and dealing with them is no trivial task.
Boss fights:
If there are no crazy mutated zombies are there bosses to kill? Well the answer is simple, yes, we said there aren’t zombies, however we didn’t say there are no mutants or mutated people. The Bakers have been subjected to the T-Virus meaning they are not just insane, they are also super strong. You thought dealing with mutated zombies was bad? Try dealing with mutated hillbillies with super human powers.
