With the biggest PUBG update 12.2 live on PC and console, it’s time to take a look at the PUBG new map, Taego. The 8×8 map, Taego, offers new diverse terrain and environments, with a vast selection of towns and compounds.
With many multiplayer games like PUBG, Fortnite, and ARK submitting new maps, there’s no doubt this summer is going to offer enough to keep us busy!
PUBG Taego Map
Taego is now available as the Featured Map in PUBG and is playable in TPP and FPP:
- Solos, Duos, and Squads (including 1-man Squad modes)
- NA and SA regions support FPP duos only
The PUBG new map allows up to 100 players with no Red Zone. Bots can spawn and there are two friendly bird varieties that reside throughout PUBG’s newest map, Taego.
What Is PUBG’s New Map Comeback BR?
Exclusive to Taego, Comeback BR is a second-chance mechanic that allows players who have died during the first Blue Zone phase to respawn into the fight later on.
If a player dies during the first Blue Zone phase in the Taego map, they will battle it out in the Comeback Arena. This location is separate from Taego; any survivors who remain alive will be transported back to the Taego mainland in phase 3.
- Comeback BR is exclusive to Taego Duo and Squad matches
- Only players who die before the first Blue Zone phase are eligible
In Comeback BR there are no bots or knockdowns. Players will have to find loot and items to remain alive, competing against other players. Health and boost levels are reset if a player returns to the fight on the PUBG Taego map.
PUBG Self AED Taego Exclusive
Self AED is another Taego exclusive feature that gives players the opportunity to remain in the fight. It’s a world-loot item that means players can revive themselves when DBNO without any help from a teammate.
- Can be used in Solo and Squad matches
To activate the Self AED, players must press the interact button in their inventory. Once initiated, the Self AED cannot be canceled and cannot be used when being revived by another teammate.
