Pokemon Let’s Go how to find Zapdos

pokemon let's go Zapdos

Whilst obtaining most Pokemon on the Let’s go games are pretty straight forward, the one question I saw pop up a few times was how to find Zapdos?

The issue with finding Zapdos is not only do you have to fight him to obtain him, unlike Charmander and some of the other Pokemon you can collect, but you also need to find where he is tucked away too!

Clues to his location:

The game doesn’t just expect you to find him yourself, without at least giving you some clues first.

Head north from Cerulean City and go across the bridge, turn right at the end of the bridge and keep going till you see a house.

Inside the house you will encounter Bill, but as a Pokémon, once you have helped him transform back into his human self, go take a peek at his computer.

Take a look at No.145 and it will give you details about the location of Zapdos.

Power Plant:

Head on over to Route ten, keep to the north of the road and you will see some water, if you have the surfboard then you can use it and follow the water till you get to a building.

When you arrive make sure to look behind the pipes to the right of the building, there is a valuable item laying on the ground.

Once you are in, there are plenty of Pokemon to catch, so far I have found the following Pokemon:

  • Muk (Let’s Go Pikachu)
  • Grimer (Let’s Go Pikachu)
  • Magnemite
  • Magneton
  • Voltrob
  • Electrode
  • Electabuzz
  • Chansey
  • Koffing (Let’s Go Eevee)
  • Weezing (Let’s Go Eevee)

Before you find Zapdos, make sure to look around, there are plenty of handy items around, but be careful, there are also Electrodes that are very easy to mistake for Pokeballs.

Make sure you have some good ground Pokemon before going in.

Once you reach the end of the powerplant you will see a platform with Zapdos on it, approach and press the action button to trigger a battle, once you fight and beat it you will be able to catch Zapdos.
