Pokemon Go evolution items are items that can be obtained through various means within the game.
Without these special items, certain Pokémon aren’t able to be evolved. As the Pokedex grows and the game is updated, more are being added. There are now more Pokémon needing these special items to evolve.
To make your Pokémon Go journey easier, we have decided to go over each special item. You’ll find out where to get them and what Pokémon they evolve. So in no particular order, here they are:

Glacial Lure:
Glacial Lures are one of the newer types of special evolution items, in a set of three recent additions. Furthermore, the Glacial Lure also attracts Pokémon as well as being used for evolution.
How to obtain a Glacial Lure
At the moment there are only two ways to get a Glacial Lure in Pokemon Go:
- Paying 200 coins in the store to purchase a lure
- A Thousand-Year Slumber 1/7 Reward (Special Research)
What Pokemon is the Glacial Lure used to Evolve
Glacial Lures are used to evolve Eevee into Glaceon.
The Glacial Lure is attached to a Pokestop module in the same way as normal lures and if within it’s area of effect. Evolving an Eevee will ensure a Glaceon as the evolution.
The Lure will also attract wild Pokémon, as would a normal lure. However, the Glacial lure particularly attracts water and ice type Pokémon.

Dragon Scale:
At the time of writing, Dragon scale is only able to be used with one Pokémon to help them evolve.
How to obtain a Dragon Scale
There are a few places you can get Dragon stone in Pokemon Go. They are a rare chance from Pokestops and Gyms, as a special research item and also as a 7th day streak reward.

Dragon Scale is used with 100 Horsea candies to evolve Seadra into Kingdra.
