Planet Zoo Wetlands Animal Pack Timed Scenario
There’s no doubt it’s fun to get creative in Planet Zoo, but sometimes it’s nice to get stuck into a challenge where most of the intricate work is laid out for you.
The new DLC takes players to Pantanal, Brazil, for a new timed scenario. Your mission is to rescue animals who aren’t able to return to the wild. There’s a big focus on animal welfare, so you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and build these animals their forever home.

- Have at least 4 different exhibit species
- Have at least 9 different habitat species
- Increase overall welfare to 85%
- Have at least 1,200 guests
- Increase education rating to 2.5 stars
- Achieve an overall rating of 3/5
- Earn a yearly profit of $15,000
- Have no outstanding loans
To get a gold star rating, you’ll need to complete the Puddles In The Pantanal scenario in 1 hour and 10 minutes on medium difficulty. Think you’ve got what it takes? Let us know how you get on!
Planet Zoo Wetlands Animal Pack Update 1.9
Along with the Planet Zoo Wetlands Animal Pack release, Frontier is letting us do a little more than dipping our toes in the water. That’s right, there’s a free Planet Zoo update 1.9 for us to get started with. I reckon this is one of the most exciting updates to Planet Zoo to date. Let’s see what’s in store.
Roaming Educators
Previously, Educators in Planet Zoo would be booked in for a specific date and length of time, in a dedicated spot, using the Animal Talk Point. This was great for increasing the popularity of a certain habitat but was fairly limited. Now, with the Planet Zoo update 1.9, Educators will be free-roaming, sharing their knowledge with your guests.
Whenever an Educator isn’t travelling, resting, or at an Animal Talk Point, they’ll be able to wander around and give mini talks to your guests to help educate them on some of the animals present in your zoo!

Explore Camera Mode
Ever wanted to edit your zoo from a guest-level point of view? Well, now you can with the latest update. Rather than fiddling around with frustrating camera views, you can use the Planet Zoo Explore Camera Mode to get an immersive perspective of your zoo, buildings, and decorations.
Audio Visual Management Screen
Planet Zoo update 1.9 sees a new Audio Visual Management Screen where you can manage all of the billboards, screens, and speakers in your zoo from one easy-to-access location. Gone are the days of clicking on individual screens to see what music or messages are displaying in your zoo.
But, that’s not all. You’ll also be able to add your Webcam feeds from any of your habitat’s burrows to your billboards. This lets your guests get a closer look at your zoo’s animals, increasing overall guest happiness.
New Water Options

Fancy changing the color of the water in your zoo? Planet Zoo update 1.9 allows you to customize the color of water in any exhibit! Blow your guests away and wow them with a burst of color in a Poison Dart Frog exhibit, or spice up your old exhibits with a splash of rainbow.
There are also Mist and Bubble effects for you to add to your animal habitat’s water. This blends nicely with the existing transparency and water color options, allowing you to create something pretty special.
Bathing Behaviors

We all need some time to unwind, and what better way to let your animals indulge in this level of relaxation than with a hot spring! Alongside the Planet Zoo Wetlands Animal Pack release, you’ll be able to create shallow pools of water in your habitats and heat them with a water temperature regulator.
These new bathing behaviors in the Planet Zoo update 1.9 will reduce animal stress and allow players to get more creative with their habitats.
Flatten To Terrace Brush
Going hand in hand with the shallow pools in the latest Planet Zoo update, you’ll be able to use the new Flatten to Terrace brush. This lets you set a Terrace Height setting and Shallow Pool Offset option to get the perfect levels for your structures in your zoo.
Small Burrows
The final addition to the Planet Zoo Wetlands Animal Pack DLC and update 1.9 is the ability to create small burrows for Meerkats and Prairie Dogs in your zoo. This, coupled with the webcam feeds on your billboards will allow your guests to marvel at more animals adopting burrowing behaviors.
