Each Collection Event in Apex Legends sees a new Heirloom Set released. Players can either obtain an Heirloom Set by collecting all 24 items, or by redeeming Heirloom Shards in the Heirloom Store once the Collection Event is over.

How Much Do Heirloom Sets Cost?

Heirloom Sets cost 150 Heirloom Shards. Previously in the game, you could find an Heirloom Set for a random legend by opening Apex Packs. However, there’s now a chance you’ll receive 150 Heirloom Shards from an Apex Pack instead.

How Do You Get Apex Packs?

Apex Packs are Apex Legends’ loot boxes. This is the only way of obtaining Heirloom Shards that you can use to claim an Heirloom Set.

Method One

Gain plenty of experience during matches, including daily and weekly challenges. You can unlock an Apex Pack when you level up.

• Levels 2-20 can gain you one pack per level.
• Levels 22-300 will get you one pack every two levels
• Up to 500 levels will offer one Apex Pack per five levels

Method Two

Purchase Apex Coins with real-life money then exchange Apex Coins for Apex Packs via the store.

Apex Legends Heirloom Shards Drop Rate

Each Apex Pack can drop 150 Heirloom Shards, but the chances are incredibly slim. There’s a less than 1% chance of obtaining Heirloom Shards from an Apex Pack.

If a player has had no luck in finding Heirloom Shards in an Apex Pack, after opening 499 packs, 150 Heirloom Shards are guaranteed on opening the 500th pack.

What’s The Best Way To Get Apex Packs?

You’re more likely to get closer to an Heirloom by grinding through the Battle Pass in Apex Legends. The more Apex Packs you open, the higher the chance of obtaining Heirloom Shards.

However, as there is only a 1 in 500 chance of getting an Apex Pack that contains Heirloom Shards, it can be a frustrating wait.

Apex Packs can be purchased on the Apex Legends store, costing around $1 per pack. This means it will cost you near on $500 to open 500 packs!

It’s worth keeping an eye on the store as sometimes there are bundles that contain more than one Apex Pack.
