The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
House of Ashes follows the story of five military officers who are trapped in an underground Sumerian temple following an earthquake.
Taking similar leaves out of The Descent’s book, House of Ashes sees Rachel King, Jason Kolchek, Nick Kay, Eric King, and Salim Othman attempting to escape this complex cave. With monstrous beings lurking around every corner, fans are in for a real treat this Halloween.
Who Are the Characters?
Ashley Tisdale (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) plays Rachel King, a CIA officer, alongside Alex Gravenstein (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) who stars as Eric King, a US Air Force lieutenant colonel.
Also featured in the latest Dark Pictures Anthology are Paul Zinno (Future Man, Appelle-moi si tu meurs) playing Jason Kolchek, Moe Jeudy-Lamour (Ted Lasso) as Nick Kay, and Nick Tarabay (Stargirl) as Salim Othman, and Iraqi army lieutenant.
The Dark Pictures Anthology first spooked us in 2019 with Man of Medan, followed shortly by Little Hope in 2020. While many of the game mechanics have remained the same throughout the series, House of Ashes expects a free-form camera and quick-time events with varying levels.
When Is House of Ashes Released?
House of Ashes is due for worldwide release on October 22, 2021. The game will be available to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Dark Pictures Anthology fans who pre-order House of Ashes will be able to play The Curator’s Cut. Players will be able to enjoy early access to House of Ashes with unavailable scenes and different characters.
