Hideo Kojima Shares an Update About His Upcoming Horror Game OD

If you’re a fan of Hideo Kojima’s games, the chances are you’ve heard about his upcoming horror game OD. Kojima Productions will be working with director Jordan Peele to create the new game as an Xbox exclusive.

So far, all we’ve seen from the upcoming horror game is a short teaser trailer that lasts for just under two minutes and doesn’t actually give us any gameplay footage or indication of what to expect from the game itself.

In an interview with Variety, the legendary game creator stated, “I wanted to do something new that wasn’t Death Stranding, so I teamed up with Microsoft to create OD. This is a game, but it’s a game like no other”

Kojima continued to explain that OD will be like no other game, offering players a completely non-traditional experience. However, he was unable to offer much beyond that.

With Kojima Productions having a proven track record of creating incredible games, and Jordan Peele creating unique horror movies such as Nope and Get Out, if nothing else we can at least expect OD to have an incredible story that hopefully pushes the boundaries of game storytelling to the next level.

As it stands, we don’t have any information about when we can expect OD to drop, and with Kojima Productions pushing full steam on Death Stranding 2, the studio may have its work cut out for it to release two incredible games anytime soon.
