While Grounded is undoubtedly an impressive co-op game, since its release on Steam, it has been held back by its lack of native Steam support, with gamers being forced to have a Microsoft account in order to enjoy the game.
Thankfully, Obsidian Entertainment has finally released a patch to address the issue, letting players enjoy the game without needing to create or tie their accounts to Microsoft.
Not only does the new 1.4.5 patch remove the Microsoft account requirement for multiplayer on Steam, but it also adds a new toggle option for those who have already linked their accounts, making it quick and easy to break the link.
This new update makes it much easier for players to simply host or join a game with friends on their Steam friends list, without having to jump through hoops in order to do so now.
Although this might not be the biggest update to the game, giving players the choice of whether they want to link their accounts or not is a welcomed change.
