How to Move Your House in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
When you first start out and are still learning how to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you might not put too much thought into where you pitch your tent. But, as your game progresses, there might be a time when you want to up and move.
Before you can move your house, you will need to make sure you have paid off the debt for moving to the island, as well as upgrading the Resident Services building. If you’ve not done that yet, you will need to make sure you do, before you can move your house.
1. Go to Resident Services
Once you are ready, you will need to head on over to Resident Services and speak with Tom Nook. Choose the options about my home, and then press I want to relocate.

Of course, Tom is a businessman, so he doesn’t do anything for free, moving your house will set you back 8,000 Bells, which you will need to pay upfront. The price for moving used to be a whopping 30,000 Bells, but it was recently reduced to 8,000 Bells, which makes moving much cheaper.
2. Choose a New Location
Once you have paid Tom, he will give you a new kit, which can be used to select a new location on the island to move your home to. Select a new location and use the kit.
Make sure to take your time selecting a new spot, as moving your home again will set you back a further 8,000 Bells.
