Have you ever played Minecraft and found yourself creating worlds until you find one you like? Yeah me too! This is where Minecraft Seeds come in handy.
What is a Minecraft seed?
If you don’t know already, a Minecraft seed is a string of code that is created in the background when you create a random world.
When you create a new world you have the option to choose a seed manually or randomize the seed. Copy and paste one of our seeds from the list and you can play a tried and tested map, all of which I’ve tried and tested and can personally say are amazing.

Many of the seeds that I have tried and tested originally came from: https://minecraftseedhq.com please do make sure to head over there and have a look, they have a great selection of seeds, this guide is aimed to simply refine them to the best few of each edition.
Java Addition Minecraft Seeds:
The following seeds are for use in the Java edition of Minecraft. If you are looking for another addition, please scroll further down the page. Make sure to copy and paste the seeds, as some of them a quiet long.
Woodland Mansion
1.11+ Seed: -1025886865
The Woodland Mansion is easily one of my favorite seeds, not only do you spawn right next to the mansion, it also contains a huge mine below it, in fact, it’s easily one of the biggest mines I have been in on Minecraft to date.

The mine also contains spawners and dangers of its own, so before entering either the mansion or the mine, do make sure to bring some armor, weapons, food and backup tools, you will need them.
Shipwreck
1.14+ Seed: -613756530319979507
I often like building next to villages on Minecraft so I have quick access to villagers as well as some level of safety when starting out on survival.
This particular seed produces one of the best villages I have seen. A small island with a village in the middle of it, but more importantly, a large shipwreck in the middle of the island.

As far as Minecraft seeds go, you won’t find one much better for finding a perfect base location, with quick access to a village.
Just past the village, there are also oceanic ruins and coral reefs, making it a very interesting place to settle. Finally, there is also another shipwreck amongst the coral reefs underwater too, if you find yourself exploring the seas, take a look.
Ravine Torn Village
1.14+ Seed: 2467475923055248755
Whilst this Minecraft seed doesn’t have any crazy ship, mansion or anything else going for it, the surrounding biomes make for a great map.
The village is split into two by a ravine, which is double depth on two layers to explore. Other than it’s potential for some awesome exploration, I personally love the fact the you can build some bridges and make a settlement across the torn land, which looks pretty awesome.
There is also a lot of flat land around the village, also making it easier to make some fantastic buildings overlooking the ravine.
Meteor Impact Village
1.14+ Seed: -2084759484

Talk about making an entrance, the entrance of this cave literally looks like it has been made by a fallen meteor.
On my version of this seed, I built above the entrance with a lift going down into the caves.
Building near the village also means that you will have a quick supply of food, helping you get straight into building without any fuss.
PE / Bedrock edition:
The following Minecraft seeds are for use in the PE / bedrock edition of Minecraft.
Savanna Village
PE 1.12+ Seed: 508164565
This seed gives you two stunning villages to choose from as well as ideal land to start building on straight from the spawn area.
As well as two amazing villages, I also find the landscape near the ocean village to be absolutely amazing and a great place to build a cliff top settlement.

I built my house on the cliff in the background, next to that tree on the top.
Ravine Dungeon
1.11+ Seed: 1915631036
With dungeons built into ravines and rail tracks with chests on the surface, this is one of the better PE seeds for those who prefer exploration over building.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some great building spots, but not as good as some of the other seeds out there. This one hit my list simply due to how much fun I had exploring the map.
