Assassins Creed Valhalla How to Get Crepelgate Fort Book of Knowledge

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, there are a couple of ways to get new abilities. One of these methods is by collecting books of knowledge, which are not always easy to figure out how to obtain. The Book of Knowledge at Crepelgate, for example, might be easy enough to get, but the route to obtaining it isn’t overly obvious.

Finding a Way Into the Crepelgate Fort Building

The first thing you need to do is figure out how to get into Crepelgate Fort, something which had me looking for ways to unblock the locked door for ages, before coming to realize that’s not how you get in there.

Don’t waste your time and arrows shooting through the windows. I was convinced that there were boxes blocking the door and spent ages trying to shoot these imaginary boxes. Don’t make my mistake.

The way into Crepelgate Fort isn’t through brute force, unlike some of the other forts in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla; this time, you need to make sure to have a good look around and be perceptive to find the way in.

Find the Gap in the Tower

Connected to the building is a wooden tower; at the base of it, there is a small gap that you can get under. It’s not very obvious at first, especially from a distance, thanks to the tall grass that surrounds it, but now you know what you’re looking for, it should be easy enough to spot.

Go underneath the tower, through the gap pictured above, and look up and to your left.

You will notice an open window which you can climb through. Again, I didn’t find this straight away and somehow found myself coming back a few times before I spotted it.

Once you have gone through the window, you will see a rack that can be moved. Drag it out of the way, and you will notice it is covering a hole that leads to the bottom floor.

Drop down to the bottom floor, and you will see the Crepelgate Fort Book of Knowledge at the end of the room.

Once you have picked up the new ability, don’t go back the way you came, simply hit the door and you will be able to leave out of the door that was previously barred.

There are many other books of knowledge in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, besides the Creplegate Fort Book of Knowledge.

I recommend finding as many of them as early on as possible, as the abilities can make a huge difference to your chances of survival, during main story missions or raids.

What Does the Crepelgate Fort Book of Knowledge Unlock

The Crepelgate Fort Book of Knowledge unlocks an impressive new ability called Man’s Best Friend, which lets players summon their pet wolf and unleash it upon their enemies, at first just to sic a single enemy.

Not only is this a great ability to help you dish out more damage, but it can also be used once upgraded to keep the wolf fighting by your side, instead of just lashing out at a single enemy. The upgraded version is one of the most useful abilities in the game, as the wolf often keeps enemies distracted, letting you unleash hell upon them, while they focus on the wolf.
