Cementing paste is one of the most important resources in Ark: Survival Evolved, not only do you need it to build a metal base, but you also need it for defensive structures such as the auto turret, which is especially important if you are playing on an Ark PVP server.
While there are tons of Ark maps to choose from, this guide focuses on the best beaver dam locations for cementing paste in the Ark Genesis 2 map.
If you’re looking to stock up on Cementing Paste, this guide will detail the best-known Beaver Dam and Cementing Paste locations, and thanks to players starting with a Tek suite in Genesis 2, even new players can get around quickly and farm cementing paste with ease.
Here’s a quick overview of the best locations in Ark Genesis 2 for Dams and Cementing Paste:
- East of the map between 40 to 65, 63 to 80
- Beaver Dams in the large lake at 41.8, 72.8
- Purchasing from HLN-A
Many of the beaver dams are located deep in the water, so you might need to go underwater to see them, or you can use your Tek suite to find them more easily and also swim underwater quickly.

Ark Genesis 2 Cementing Paste and Beaver Dam Locations
It seems that in Ark Genesis 2 Beaver Dams and Cementing Paste are quite few and far between. Whether you’re looking to tame a Casteroides or farm Cementing Paste, you’ll need to know where the best locations are.
While the exact location will be slightly different, you should be able to find Beaver Dams in Ark Genesis 2 at location 41.8, 72.8.
Beaver Dams are slightly trickier to see in Ark Genesis 2, but as you can see from the image above, you may spot some poking out of the water.
Your best bet is to head toward the East of the map around the large lake areas, e.g. 62.3, 75.1.
If you’re struggling to spot any dams out of the water, you’ll need to dive down in the shallower parts where you’ll likely find a dam near a group of Casteroides.
Aside from open lakes, rivers are also a good spot to locate them, such as 58.7, 70.7.
Just remember, if you attack a dam, Casteroides will come after you! Also, for the sake of the server you’re playing on, remember to take the wood from the dam and either use it or drop it so that the dam respawns.
