Georgie PeruIt’s that time of year when we expect to see Ark’s Halloween event, Fear Evolved, appear on official and unofficial Ark servers. However, this year is a little different.
With official Ark servers shutting down at the end of September, some players may have expected Studio Wildcard to continue its traditional events. This, unfortunately, is not the case. Ark’s Fear Evolved 2023 will not happen, so instead of there being a Fear Evolved 7, it’s likely we’ll expect Studio Wildcard’s new venture, Ark: Survival Ascended.
While Studio Wildcard is no longer focusing its efforts on Ark: Survival Evolved, there are still regular Community Crunch updates being announced via Survive The Ark.
Can I Still Access Ark Official Server Saves?
Despite the official Ark servers closing down, you can still access official server saves. Save games from the official network have been provided to Ark players so you can continue playing Ark: Survival Evolved on your own server.
August and September save games can be found here.
Studio Wildcard stated: “We provided access to your PC saves and you are now also able to directly rent a server from Nitrado who can host your PC or console saves. Nitrado servers using the Official Save games are now available here.”
However, if you don’t want to use Nitrado, you can browse some of the best Ark server hosting companies to host your own Ark server using official network saves.
When Is Ark Ascended Due To Launch?
It’s expected that Ark: Survival Ascended will launch at the end of October, possibly Oct. 31, 2023. According to Ark Ascended News on X (formerly Twitter), developers confirm that the release is on track for late October.
What Is Ark: Survival Ascended?
Ark Ascended is a remake of the original Ark: Survival Evolved using Unreal Engine 5. The game was announced on Mar. 31, 2023. When released, as is expected at the end of October 2023, the game will be in early access with DLC content released much like Ark: Survival Evolved.

When Was The Last Fear Evolved?
Ark Halloween 2022 started on October 19th on official Ark servers and ended on November 2nd. Unofficial servers could also activate the event by adding the following server arg parameter: -ActiveEvent=FearEvolved
This was the 6th Halloween event in Ark.
