Ark: Survival Evolved fans are all eagerly awaiting the Ark Ascended release date, but we’re still wondering when this will be. With clues from Studio Wildcard that Ask Ascended will be released in October 2023, it’s estimated the official release date might be October 31, 2023.
Studio Wildcard originally estimated an August 2023 release date, but of course, this has now passed.
ARK: Survival Ascended is a next-generation remaster of our beloved ARK: Survival Evolved, harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 5. It will be released on Xbox Series S/X, PC (Windows/Steam), and PlayStation 5 by the end of August 2023. The base game will include The Island, SOTF, and all the “Non-Canon” DLC maps (which will be added to ASA over time).

What Is Ark Ascended?
With some players wondering when Ark’s Fear Evolved event would take place, it’s clear that since official Ark: Survival Evolved servers are no longer up and running, Ark: Survival Ascended will launch instead. Usually, we would expect a Halloween event in October, but it seems Studio Wildcard’s efforts have all been focused on the release of Ark Ascended.
Ark: Survival Ascended is a remake of the much-loved and incredibly popular Ark: Survival Evolved game. Instead, this time, it’s being developed using Unreal Engine 5 (UE5). Back in March 2023 when it was announced, survivors have been anticipating the release of the game for some time.
Ark: Survival Ascended Release Date Clues
On October 16, 2023, Survive The Ark posted an update titled “Smile! ASA certification builds have been submitted”. This means the game has been submitted to be certified as playable (not necessarily bug-free) on console.
A high-resolution in-game image was submitted, with a quote saying “Hang in there! We can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on ARK: Survival Ascended!”
The community forums were buzzing with excitement, and the unofficial X (formerly Twitter) account, Ark Ascended News, posted on October 20, 2023, saying “Community. Crunch. Today. Could this be the day we’ve all been waiting for?”.
Community Crunch 384 was released a day later on October 21, 2023, with no news of the Ark Ascended release date. Fans were of course disappointed, and are left wondering when Ark Ascended will be released.
How Much Will Ark Ascended Cost?
The price of Ark Ascended when it releases hasn’t officially been announced, but there have been comments from Studio Wildcard to suggest the initial price of $60 would be lowered to $45. And, for those who purchase Ark: Survival Ascended on the day of release, an additional $5 discount will be offered.
However, in its post back in March, Studio Wildcard stated:
Xbox Series S/X and PC players will only be able to get Ark: Survival Ascended via an ultimate-value bundle known as the ARK Respawned Bundle. This bundle includes ownership of both ARK: Survival Ascended AND ARK 2 and will be priced at $49.99.
This bundle will be available to purchase from the end of August for up to 1 year (after which ARK: Survival Ascended and ARK 2 will be sold separately). Additionally, the bundle will provide players access to an exclusive 1-month closed-beta to ARK 2 in 2024 before the rest of the general public can play ARK 2.
PlayStation 5 users will be able to get their hands on ARK: Survival Ascended as a standalone next-gen game at launch in August 2023 for $39.99.
Ark Ascended’s release date is yet to be 100% confirmed. Knowing Studio Wildcard, this could be pushed back even further than October 2023, but we’re hoping to see some more news later this week.
