Animal Crossing Bunny Day is New Horizons’ Easter event that introduces new recipes, event activities, Easter eggs, and more. Although the Bunny Day event runs for one week, it’s important to remember that Bunny Day is on 17 April 2022. This is the day that Zipper will return for you to hand in your eggs and trade them for recipes.

When Is Animal Crossing Bunny Day?
The Bunny Day event runs from 10 April 2022 until 17 April 2022. It’s a special event for Easter, so the dates tend to differ each year. For example, previous Animal Crossing Bunny Days have been on 1 April 2020 and 28 March 2021.
Who Is Zipper T. Bunny?

Zipper is a new character who will come to your island during the Bunny Day event. If you look behind Zipper, you’ll notice that he’s wearing a large zipper on his back. Rumors suggest that Zipper is in fact another Animal Crossing villager inside a bunny suit.
But, don’t be fooled into calling Zipper out on this since he doesn’t appreciate people making fun of his suit.

Prior to the Bunny Day event starting on 10 April 2022, Zipper appears on your island. He will tell you that he’s hidden eggs around your island, outdoors. You’ll need to use tools to uncover the eggs or gather resources to be in with a chance of finding an egg instead of, say, a fruit.
Animal Crossing Bunny Day Eggs

During ACNH Bunny Day, you’ll collect different eggs. Use these to craft Bunny Day recipes that you collect from Zipper. You can learn these recipes by picking up eggs or obtaining presents.

Across the event, you’ll find six different types of eggs:
- Leaf Eggs: Found on trees; eggs can be found instead of fruit, or by shaking a tree.
- Sky Eggs: They look like Balloon Presents, but instead resemble an egg.
- Water Eggs: Medium-sized shadows in the water can produce an egg instead of a fish.
- Stone Eggs: Use a Shovel or Axe to hit a stone for the chance to obtain an egg.
- Wood Eggs: Use an Axe to hit a tree to find eggs instead of wood.
- Earth Eggs: In your search for fossils, you may find eggs instead of fossils.
Animal Crossing Bunny Day Rewards

When the Animal Crossing Bunny Day arrives, you will see Zipper return to your island. You can find him at the Plaza, along with your villagers sporting Easter clothing.
You can talk to Zipper who will give you some tasks and rewards for completing the tasks, but these are only available on Bunny Day (17 April 2022). If you want to collect the Bunny Day Arch recipe, Bunny Day is the day to do it. You will only be able to get the “crafting all Bunny Day DIY Recipes” reward if you get the Bunny Day arch.
When you’ve finished with all of the tasks and have the Bunny Day Arch, Bunny Day Wand, and Bunny Day Basket, you can continue to collect and use your eggs to craft items and sell them.
ACNH Bunny Day eggs sell for 200 Bells each, but it’s better to craft items with them and sell them at double the price.
Animal Crossing Bunny Day Recipes

There are 20 unique Bunny Day recipes to collect in Animal Crossing New Horizons during the event. This includes the Bunny Day Arch. You will need to craft all of the recipes (no need to actually place them) to qualify for Zipper’s ultimate reward, the Bunny Day Wand recipe.

Bunny Day Wand

To craft the Bunny Day Wand, you’ll need 1x Wobbling Zipper Toy and 3x Star Fragments. If you don’t want to keep the Bunny day Wand, you can sell it for 11,100 Bells, which is a pretty tidy profit if you can make multiple.
Wobbling Zipper Toy

The Wobbling Zipper Toy is probably the hardest Animal Crossing Bunny Day event item to create. You’ll need 4x each type of egg (Earth Egg, Stone Egg, Leaf Egg, Wood Egg, Sky Egg, and Water Egg), making a total of 24 eggs to craft it.
Animal Crossing Bunny Day FAQs
You can get a Sky Egg in Animal Crossing by using a Slingshot and shooting down the Egg Balloons. Outside of the Bunny Day Event, you’ll see Present Balloons in the Sky, but during the Easter event, the balloon resembles an egg. Shoot the present down, collect it, then open it in your inventory.
Water Eggs can be obtained by finding medium-sized shadows in the water (rivers or sea). Instead of catching a fish, there’s a chance you’ll collect a Water Egg.
You can collect Stone Eggs by using an Axe or Shovel on a rock in Animal Crossing. Hit the rock to be in with a chance of collecting a Stone Egg instead of other materials like iron, stones, or coins.
Hit trees with your Axe (it’s recommended to use a Stone Axe) to collect Wood Eggs. You won’t always get a Wood Egg by hitting a tree, but there is a chance you’ll get an egg instead of wood.
Shake trees that have eggs on them instead of fruit to collect Leaf Eggs in Animal Crossing. You’ll see the trees clearly have eggs in place of the usual fruit your trees bear.
Earth Eggs can be collected by digging up cracks in the floor where you would usually find Fossils or Gyroids. There’s a chance when digging that you’ll find an Earth Egg.
There are six different types of eggs to collect in Animal Crossing during the Bunny Day event. These eggs can be turned in to Zipper when he arrives on Bunny Day on 17 April 2022. Eggs can be exchanged for DIY recipes.
